Parental Support and Neurofeedback
The Mayo Clinic describes parental support as an important part of dealing with children with ADHD and other learning challenges. Join Lorna and Miriam to discuss what parental support means through the lens of Bowen Family Systems Theory. Consider the process by which we inadvertently participate in perpetuating the problems that our children are facing. Perhaps they end up dealing more with us and less with their own challenges. We will discuss examples of different approaches to homework as well as the concept of personal responsibility rather than blame…whether of self or others. The most powerful neurofeedback we give our kids is the neurofeedback we give ourselves!
Then join us for the next episode where we begin to explore the ways in which the marriage can impact the system of automatic patterns that we all get caught up in…and how neurofeedback can help!
